This is a R&D Engineer role, reporting to the Technical Manager in business area Process Automation located in Bangalore. You will be working at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited, a subsidiary of ABB. It is based in Bangalore, the silicon-valley of India. Its unique infrastructure places research, development, engineering, and service teams under one roof, increasing collaboration and reducing time to market, with no compromise on quality.
- Understand new features / use cases and implement them.
- Understand the existing code and do the modifications if required. Proficient at developing a workflow process, troubleshooting the software, and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches.
- Demonstrates good technical proficiency in own competence area. Performs a variety of technology/engineering assignments, demonstrating ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions.
- Documents work and contributes to written reports for area.
Your background for R&D Engineer
- B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics from a reputed institution.
- Required 2+ years of experience in in application development.
- Should have sound knowledge in Object oriented programing.
- Should be Strong in C, C++ along with experience in scripting languages bash, python/PowerShell.
- Should have good knowledge and experience in Linux internals, networking.
- Good to have Knowledge/experience in .NET, C#. Good to have knowledge on TLS/SSL and other security concepts like Asymmetric/Symmetric cryptography.
